As you probably know, I’m a member of Brazos Valley TROUPE. We are a non-profit community theatre specializing in youth education of the performing arts. This summer I have an amazing opportunity to attend the Texas Non-Profit Theatres (TNT) Youth Conference with other fellow “TROUPErs” in Irving, Texas. During this conference, we get to attend workshops taught by professional artists, learn from other performing groups and even present our own show, The One Act Play Disaster by the talented Don Zolidis. I can’t wait to learn more about theatre, broaden my theatre experiences, build stronger bonds with my friends, and gain new experiences by traveling. Each “TROUPEr” is personally responsible for paying their $125 registration fee and our chaperones (aka Moms!) are donating transportation. We have local fundraisers planned like performances, intermission auctions and profit shares, but those won’t cover our expenses. And, I understand that you might not be able to make it to Bryan/College Station for one of these events. So, I am asking you to consider a direct donation for our TNT Conference Expenses. Our goal is to raise $50 from each of the 50 states…plus 50x that from Texas (because EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas!) It’s a big ask to find donators from every state, so the further you are away from me, the more I need your support! Remember, Brazos Valley TROUPE is a 501(c)(3) corporation, so your donations are tax deductible.
