The Sterling Stars are an Award Winning Dance/Drill Team in GCCISD. A program rich in history and tradition, with a 50+ year legacy of excellence in dance and leadership, we are proud to represent Ross S. Sterling High School in our community and beyond. We also have a growing and thriving JV team, our Sapphires, who are in their 6th year of existence. Under the Direction of Lori Alexander & Yoanna Isas, the Stars and JV Sapphires represent Sterling HS in our community and continue to perform and provide spirit for crowds at football games, dance team competitions, pep rallies, basketball games, our annual Stage Show and other community events. With the onset of Covid- 19, the Stars and Sapphires lost many fundraising and performance opportunities last spring as well as this summer, and our traditional fundraising ventures for the fall – from our cherished Dance Clinic to carwashes, brochure sales, and even our annual Sterling Bazaar and Chicken Spaghetti Dinner have been canceled at this time for the safety and protection of all involved. Therefore we are reaching out with an online donation fundraiser at this time to kickstart our Season! We are hoping to raise funds through donations for our Spring Competitions, costumes, choreography, yearly banquets such as Star Ball and Luncheon, our annual Stage Show and Scholarships!
